Nadège Marneffe lives and works in Meudon near Paris, France.

A graduate in art and architecture, Nadège started as a teacher. She then became an entrepreneur in the textile industry, never ceasing to paint and draw on a variety of mediums.

​

In 2020, after a lot of self-questioning, Nadège decides to develop her painting work and joins a shared atelier on the outskirts of Paris.

​

Nadège has a long tradition of traveling in the UK, from the wild beauty of Scotland to the magnificent Kew gardens that gave her a new inspiration, helping her to develop the poetic take of her art where colour plays a prominent role.

​

In 2023, after visiting Kew Gardens, she launches a series inspired by this extraordinary place that she contemplates with a slightly offbeat, romantic twist, as a dialogue between the classic architecture of the translucid glass canopy and the sumptuous giant leaves. 

​

In 2025, this series was exhibited at Prince & Pilgrim Gallery in Richmond, London (group show Handpicking Spring). Since her first exhibition in London and the support of several collectors, Nadège Marneffe continues to draw inspiration, draw, and photograph in England: the connection between Paris and London has become a creative axis in its own right.

​

An amateur and enthusiastic naturalist, Nadège finds through walking, observation, literature, and nature-writing the sense of being in communion with the living world, source of her creations.

​

She sees the painting phase as a suspended time when the preparatory part of the work gives way to colour, freedom, energy, and spontaneity of the brushstrokes.

​

Nadège defines herself as a “colourist”, all media combined: colour is her way to connect with living beings, near or far, and to re-enchant our relationship to them 

​

The artist, inspired by the Nabis movement and Art Nouveau/Arts and Crafts, develops a figurative painting style that blends realism tinged with the marvelous and the expression of pure colour.

 

Her painting work is starting to be exhibited in London and Paris with The Muisca gallery (Le Marais, Paris 4th).

Diplômée en art et en architecture, Nadège a d’abord enseigné avant de se lancer dans l’entrepreneuriat dans le secteur textile, sans jamais cesser de peindre et de dessiner sur divers supports.

En 2020, après une période de remise en question, elle décide de développer son travail pictural et intègre un atelier partagé en banlieue parisienne.

​

Nadège entretient une longue tradition de voyages au Royaume-Uni, de la beauté sauvage de l’Écosse aux magnifiques jardins de Kew, qui lui ont offert une nouvelle source d’inspiration. Ces expériences l’ont aidée à cultiver une approche poétique de son art, où la couleur joue un rôle central.

En 2023, après une visite aux jardins de Kew, elle lance une série inspirée de ce lieu extraordinaire, qu’elle contemple avec un regard légèrement décalé et romantique, comme un dialogue entre l’architecture classique de la verrière translucide et les feuilles géantes somptueuses.

​

En 2025, cette série a été exposée à la galerie Prince & Pilgrim à Richmond, à Londres (exposition collective Handpicking Spring).

Depuis sa première exposition à Londres et le soutien de plusieurs collectionneurs, Nadège Marneffe continue de s’inspirer, dessiner et photographier en Angleterre : le lien entre Paris et Londres est devenu un axe créatif à part entière.

Naturaliste amateur et passionnée, Nadège trouve, à travers la marche, l’observation, la littérature et l’écriture naturaliste, le sentiment d’être en communion avec le monde vivant, source de ses créations.

​

Elle considère la phase de peinture comme un temps suspendu, où la préparation cède la place à la couleur, à la liberté, à l’énergie et à la spontanéité.

​

Nadège se définit comme une « coloriste », tous médias confondus : la couleur est pour elle un moyen de se connecter aux êtres vivants, proches ou lointains, et de réenchanter notre relation avec eux.

​

L’artiste, inspirée par le mouvement Nabi et l’Art nouveau/Arts and Crafts, développe une peinture figurative entre réalisme teinté de merveilleux et expression de la couleur pure.

​

Son travail pictural commence à être exposé à Londres et à Paris, notamment à la galerie The Muisca (Le Marais, Paris 4e).
